As Hawaiʻi’s population continues to age, the need for comprehensive senior living options has never been greater. Families across the islands are seeking solutions that allow loved ones to maintain independence while providing access to additional care and support when needed.
Our goal is to help meet that need through a Life Plan Community model designed to support residents throughout every stage of aging.

A Life Plan Community, also known as a Continuing Care Retirement Community (CCRC), offers a continuum of care within one community.
Residents can enjoy an active and independent lifestyle while having access to higher levels of care if their needs change over time.
Services may include: Independent Living, Assisted Living, Memory Support, Skilled Nursing, Rehabilitation Wellness, Fitness Programs, Dining and Social Opportunities, Lifelong Learning and Volunteer Programs.
This approach allows residents to remain connected to their community, neighbors, and support network while receiving the care they need.

Over 30 years with the same vision
For more than 30 years, Emerald Communities has operated nonprofit senior living communities focused on exceptional resident experiences, financial stewardship, and long term stability.
Together with the Luana Kai board, we are exploring opportunities to bring this experience to Hawaiʻi in a way that honors local culture, values, and traditions.
